Fused Quartz is made by electrically fusing or gas-oxygen flame fusing of pure natural quartz crystal. AGI maintains an inventory of approximately 5,000 lbs of fused quartz.

Fused Quartz has:

Excellent thermal coefficient of thermal expansion
A high working temperature
Lower manufacturing cost then Fused Silica
Good transmission from near UV to near IR
